RESUMO
O atendimento à criança hospitalizada nos remete a uma variedade de questões a serem exploradas, incluindouma reflexão sobre a organização da instituição hospitalar em relação ao caráter recreativo-educacional oferecido às crianças. A Lei nº 11.104/2005 determina que todos os hospitais que ofereçam atendimento pediátrico contarão, obrigatoriamente, com uma brinquedoteca nas suas dependências. Sabendo-se da importância da humanização hospitalar e do brincar no cotidiano infantil, este trabalho teve como objetivo analisar, através de pesquisa de observação de campo, como ocorrem as atividades de uma brinquedoteca em uma Instituição Hospitalar de ensino em São José do Rio Preto. Foi utilizado o método observacional estruturado, com a checagem dos eventos e comportamentos pré-selecionados, utilizando-se um roteiro. Os resultados foram que as atividades desenvolvidas são coerentes com a de uma Brinquedoteca Hospitalar, porém só tem estas atividades em três períodos da semana, Quarta-feira a tarde e Sexta-feira nos períodos da manhã e tarde, permanecendo fechada para o uso recreativo durante os outros dias úteis da semana, finais de semana, feriados e período noturno. Constatou-se também que o mesmo espaço físico é utilizado como Classe Hospitalar e Grupo de Mães, o que impede sua função. Durante o período de observação, verificou-se a manifestação do desejo de ir à Brinquedoteca por parte das crianças e os sentimentos de alegria e contentamento durante as atividades. As crianças demonstram zelo e cuidado no manuseio dos brinquedos, reforçando os aspectos de cidadania desenvolvidos no ambiente. Há uma intensa interação entre as crianças e o profissional responsável, o que fortalece o vínculo entre a criança e a Instituição. Chegou-se a conclusão que mesmo tendo espaço físico, a brinquedoteca não desenvolve sua função como recomendado na teoria.
Delivering medical attention to the hospitalized child lead us to a variety of questions to be explored, including a reflection about the organization of the hospital in relation to the recreational and educational nature offered to the children. Law n° 11.104/2005 determines that all hospitals which offer pediatric care must have a toy library in their facilities. Knowing of the importance of the hospital humanization and the playing in the children routine, this work has the objective of analyzing, through the research of field observation, how the activities in a toy library happen at a Teaching Hospital located São José do Rio Preto city. It was used a structured observational method, verifying the events and pre-selecting behaviors with the use of a script. The results were that the activities developed are coherent with a hospital toy library. Although these activities take place only in three times a week, Wednesday afternoon and Friday in the morning and in the afternoon, the toy library remains closed during other weekdays, weekends, holidays and evenings. It was also verified that the same facility is used as Hospital Class and Mothers Group, blocking its function. During the period of observation, the children have manifested the wish of going to the toy library showing happiness and satisfaction during these activities. Children demonstrate zeal and care in the use of the toys, highlighting the citizenship aspects developed in the environment. There is an intense interaction between children andt he professional in charge, what favors the contact with the children and the Institution. Finally, it was concluded that even having physical space, toy library does not develop its role as it is recommended in the theory.
